Preparation requirements
Identify removal, stair-surface condition, and installation components needed for the selected system.

Items to
discuss separately
- Staircase rebuilding, handrail work, baluster changes, and structural corrections are not implied.
- Runner fabrication or binding, stair parts, and material supply need an assigned responsibility.
- Old-covering removal, painting, staining, and adjoining landing work must be stated in the scope.
Removal, preparation, installation components, finishing, and cleanup should have a clear owner in the agreed scope. A service guide describes possible work; it does not make every task an inclusion in every estimate.
