Prepare forFlooring Removal
Get ready for flooring removal: what to photograph, which material details to share, and how to arrange access to the work area.
Preparation checklist
Before you
schedule the work.
Send photos, approximate dimensions, and a short description of the work. Prime will confirm the material details, access, and other arrangements needed before installation is scheduled.
01 / Share the details
For the estimate
- Send room photos and close views of thresholds or other places where the floor layers are visible.
- Share the approximate age and known history of the flooring and adhesives, if available.
- Describe the planned replacement floor, furniture, stairs, and disposal access.
02 / Plan ahead
Materials and readiness
- Confirm the requirements of the replacement installation so the removal endpoint is clear.
- Arrange any agreed specialist assessment before old materials are disturbed.
- Do not start pulling up unknown flooring layers to prepare for the visit.
03 / Before work begins
Access and the space
- Agree on furniture removal, isolation of the work area, and protection for nearby belongings.
- Keep the debris route clear and confirm where vehicles or disposal containers can be placed.
- Discuss occupancy and timing with Prime, including children, pets, and access to adjoining rooms.
