Prepare forBacksplashes
Get ready for backsplashes: what to photograph, which material details to share, and how to arrange access to the work area.
Preparation checklist
Before you
schedule the work.
Send photos, approximate dimensions, and a short description of the work. Prime will confirm the material details, access, and other arrangements needed before installation is scheduled.
01 / Share the details
For the estimate
- Send a wide kitchen or counter-area photo plus close views of outlets, corners, windows, and exposed ends.
- Provide approximate backsplash lengths and heights, tile dimensions, and your preferred pattern if selected.
- Explain whether old tile needs removal and whether countertops and cabinets are already in their final positions.
02 / Plan ahead
Materials and readiness
- Confirm tile quantity, matching trim, grout, and visible edge choices before scheduling.
- Share tile samples or product information so layout and setting-material needs can be reviewed.
- Coordinate countertop completion and any required fixture work before tile installation begins.
03 / Before work begins
Access and the space
- Clear counters, shelves, and nearby fragile items and provide access to the full backsplash area.
- Discuss range, appliance, and outlet handling with Prime before the installation day.
- Plan for limited kitchen access during the work and follow the agreed curing and cleaning guidance afterward.
