Prepare forMoisture Testing & Mitigation
Get ready for moisture testing & mitigation: what to photograph, which material details to share, and how to arrange access to the work area.
Preparation checklist
Before you
schedule the work.
Send photos, approximate dimensions, and a short description of the work. Prime will confirm the material details, access, and other arrangements needed before installation is scheduled.
01 / Share the details
For the estimate
- Describe the moisture concern and provide dates or details of known leaks and water events.
- Share any previous test reports, flooring failures, and substrate or building information you have.
- Provide the proposed flooring and adhesive instructions so the applicable criteria can be reviewed.
02 / Plan ahead
Materials and readiness
- Keep flooring and adhesives uninstalled until readiness and the next steps have been agreed.
- Do not apply sealers or coatings to hide the condition before assessment.
- Share any products already applied to the substrate, including their names and application dates if known.
03 / Before work begins
Access and the space
- Provide access to the agreed assessment locations and maintain the conditions requested for the test method.
- Coordinate access, return visits, and any test duration with Prime before booking installation.
- Arrange the responsible specialist for active water sources or building issues when those require separate attention.
Set the responsibilities
Confirm what the estimate covers
Review labor, preparation, finishing, and any separate responsibilities before making delivery or scheduling arrangements.
