Prepare forFloor Repair
Get ready for floor repair: what to photograph, which material details to share, and how to arrange access to the work area.
Preparation checklist
Before you
schedule the work.
Send photos, approximate dimensions, and a short description of the work. Prime will confirm the material details, access, and other arrangements needed before installation is scheduled.
01 / Share the details
For the estimate
- Send close photos of the damage and wider photos showing its position in the room.
- Explain when the problem began, whether it is changing, and any leak or impact history.
- Share the flooring model, installation method if known, and photos of spare material or packaging.
02 / Plan ahead
Materials and readiness
- Keep any spare boards, tiles, carpet, or trim available for review.
- Confirm matching material and the proposed repair before purchasing substitutes.
- Avoid applying fillers, adhesives, or coatings before Prime has reviewed the area.
03 / Before work begins
Access and the space
- Clear access to the damaged area and the surrounding floor needed for assessment.
- Discuss furniture, trim, and appliance handling if they block the repair.
- Agree on access restrictions and realistic appearance expectations before the work is scheduled.
Set the responsibilities
Confirm what the estimate covers
Review labor, preparation, finishing, and any separate responsibilities before making delivery or scheduling arrangements.
