Define protection for countertops and nearby finishes, along with any wall work included before tile setting.
- 02
Tile layout and cuts
Plan pattern alignment and cut locations around cabinets, windows, corners, outlets, and visible ends.
- 03
Setting and grout
Install the selected tile and grout with materials suitable for the tile and supporting surface.
- 04

Items to
discuss separately
- Existing backsplash removal and substantial drywall repair need to be included explicitly.
- Electrical adjustments, outlet extensions, and plumbing or appliance disconnection must have an agreed responsible trade.
- Countertop installation, cabinet changes, painting, and material supply are separate from tile-installation labor unless stated.
Removal, preparation, installation components, finishing, and cleanup should have a clear owner in the agreed scope. A service guide describes possible work; it does not make every task an inclusion in every estimate.
